Mr. & Mrs. Bennett

| Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are co-founders of Bennett Academy, one of the first Charter Schools in Arizona. Mrs. Bennett is a graduate of Arizona State University and has a background in special education. She is currently working on her doctorate at Capella University. Mr. Bennett is a retired Air Force Colonel and holds a masters degree. He has an extensive background in teaching and education management. |

Mr. David Blakeley |

| Mr. Blakeley is new this year to Bennett Academy and very excited to be here. He comes to us with over 15 years of experience in education. A recent transplant from Virginia, Mr. Blakeley has attended schools in both Italy and Japan and has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, and a M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. He is certified in Administration, Social Studies, and K-12 ESL. |

Mrs. Jennifer Blakeley |

| Jennifer Blakeley is in her second year teaching middle school science and math at Bennett Academy. She is a highly qualified teacher with a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a Master’s Degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. |

Ms. Sara Ducharme |

| Sara Ducharme is Bennett Academy’s new Kindergarten Teacher. She is fully certified and comes to us fresh out of Arizona State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education. |

Mr. Jim Hyte |

| Mr. Hyte has been a standard fixture at Bennett Academy for eleven years. His education includes: Bowling Green State University and Ohio State University where he also worked in psychiatrics. He is in charge of the arts department and has led Bennett to winning the 2002 Zonie Theatre award for Best Original Children’s Show, and third in the nation with the Kaiser Foundation / NBC Video Awards. Mr. Hyte is a professional actor, director, and writer and has worked locally and in Hollywood. As an artist, he has done works for major corporations and President Clinton. |

Mrs. Jean James |

| Mrs. James has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from a private school in Tennessee. She also has a Masters degree in elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She has been teaching for 20 plus years. Her teaching experiences have been in Tennessee, Georgia, California and Arizona. Her favorite class to teach is reading because it is an insurance policy that pays every day in the lives of her students. She loves movies and banana splits. Mrs. James is a news "junky" watching everything on TV that features real people and events. She is very excited and happy to be teaching at Bennett Academy. |

Ms. Tricia Troiano |

| Ms. Troiano is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Special Education and a Masters in Secondary Education/Educational Technology. She has had ten years experience teaching K-12. She has worked in both charter and school districts and teaches for two Universities: Grand Canyon University for the College of Education as an online instructor and for Northern Arizona University for the S.E.L.E.C.T. program for the College of Education Special Education Master's program. Ms. Troiano got her teaching start at Bennett Academy and after five years, she came back to continue her teaching career here. Her extensive background in special education and technology makes her a valuable asset to the Bennett Staff. |

| Robert Welch teaches 5th and 6th Grades for Bennett Academy. He has a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education. Mr. Welch is fully certified and has over five years of experience in education. |

| Marcia Wiley comes to us from the highly regarded A.C.E.S. School with more than five years of teaching experience. She is a highly qualified teacher and has a B.S. in Management from Western International University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. |
